The castle is a 14th century piece, which is modified by later generation. The monument is pretty enchanting, since it is a real castle! OMG! It is a complex, which includes numerous museums that you can enjoy during your trip.

Castello Sforzesco is located in the west north of the city and behind it there is located a wonderful park called Parco Sempione. Entering through the Castle, you’ll reach to the park and have a view of the whole green (depending in which season you arrived there J) with the impressive Porta Sempione (Arco della Pace) as a center of your view.

The way to reach there is using the metro with the red line and the stop called Cairoli (Castello) or my suggestion to head there would rather be walking from Duomo Square through Cordusio, so you can also see the nice avenue called via Dante. It is really pleasant to walk there and is surrounded by the flags of the countries that are going to a part of the Expo 2015.
