On Monday the 9th starts the Milan design week ; one of the biggest event of the year in Milan. The entire week is dedicated to the design: the showroom and brands organize some exhibitions and animations to present their work.

Nowadays, every business tries to participate to this dynamic event so fashion brands and food companies create some partnerships with designer and presents nice combined projects!

Everything is free; but the access to some parties is reserved to professionals.

Do not worry, you will not even notice since there is a lot to do : there will be more than 900 events during the week !!Obviously I can not quote them all !

What is best to do for you is either look on the official websites and select what you would like to see either choose an area and just walk around; going where you are inspired!

The two most popular ones are Brera; which will particularly be animated on Friday night with the “Brera district night” and the famous via Tortona (behind the metro Porta Genova), where there are a lot of showrooms.

Even if you are not a big fan of design; you should have a look because the city is very dynamic at this period and there are a lot of nice events of all kind!

I am sure you can find something you’ll like! But let me warn you: it will be very very crowdy!

To have some informations, there are a lot of websites which presents the events; I personnally think the zero’s one is the most convenient : but if you do not want to miss anything, check on the modem:

Clarisse- I’m a 23 year-old Parisian who studies in a Business School in France. After a semester in Milan as an exchange student, I decided to work there because I loved living there. I now know Milan very well, as I love just wandering in the streets and discovering new things. It is a very dynamic city and there are a lot of places which deserved to be seen. That’s why I wanted to share my experience with you. Also because I love traveling and when I’m in a city abroad I always wonder where would go the locals. So I'll try and advise you the bests spots to be ! What else you might want to know about me? Well, I love fashion and I’m quite gourmet so I’ll recommend you fine restaurants and bars to do the famous aperitivo and to eat the Italian specialties. As I like doing lots of different activities, I try and be informed about what's new so I'll do my best to keep you updated. 😉 Hope you'll find everything you need and have fun!
