The goal of the “Fan-Navigli Water Festival” is to create an artistic park to restore vitality to a zone symbol of the city, through various forms of creative expression. A festival, which is symbolized by a paper boat, will held on 5 to 21 April the Naviglio Grande and Naviglio Pavese. Water, creativity, culture, tradition and territory fundamental elements gathered in the project – sponsored by Navigli Lombardi in collaboration with the Region, City, Expo 2015 – which will develop, growing up, over 3 years, until its peak at with the inauguration of the Universal Expo. Floating structures along the towpaths, courtyards and other places distinctive and evocative, will host exhibitions, concerts, installations and performances.

On April 5, the Open Day is planned with the exhibition of costumes and scenic workshops (make-up and hairstyle) by the Fondazione Accademia Teatro alla Scala. On the same day will be an unusual invasion called “Full of Frogs” with 200 sculptures frog-badged CrackingArtGroup positioned at strategic points along the historic canals Leonardo. On April 10, thousands of colorful plastic frogs regenerable (sale pro Evolutions Urban Cultural Association) will be thrown into the water by anyone who wants to be part of the event. Among other initiatives planned include April 6 “I Love the Canals” meeting with the artist Antonio Spanedda; April 7 “The long scarf for the Naviglio” laboratory of knitted by Ass. Engaging Cultural, always will be held on 7 “Remaking The Navigli” competition for video makers realized by the Italian Film Archive Foundation, on April 8, “Water Jam” live painting on the wall of wood; April 9 “Water Music Contest” and “Feeding Milano” , April 12 “Project Green Waters” with the New Academy of Fine Arts during the event are also planned photography workshops Naba Art, architecture and design with Columbia University and Politecnico di Milano, “Write on the Water” art installation by Guildor, a treasure hunt and more.
