Many bars on the Navigli are perfect to have a quick bite to eat with friends before you go out. The food and drinks are usually good, but the bars here are often small, crowded and loud. So you won’t want to stay here the whole night. So after the aperitivo hours it’s time to go somewhere else. As an alternative Mag Café is a more elegant cocktail bar with a relaxed atmosphere and they truly serve one of the best cocktails in the city!

Also if you’re not in for heavy drinks, they have a fine wine list you can choose from and the waiters are always prepared to give advice and suggest their favourites. And during the day you can come by for a nice coffee, tea, homemade juices and great desserts. The café is small, simple with white walls and always changing art or photography on the wall. The piano / jazz music played in the background and the always friendly staff, makes for a really nice atmosphere. It’s a perfect place to have a relaxed evening enjoying a nice drink with friends.

Mag Café also has a nice brunch deal every week on Saturdays and Sundays. You get a list of juices, coffee, tea, desserts and sandwhiches where you can check off your choice. The whole brunch costs 10 euros and is delicious! I would recommend coming here on the last Sunday of the month so that after you had your relaxing brunch here, you can literally walk out the door and you’re in the middle of the amazing Naviglio’s Antique Market!
