While a lot of aperitivo bars use reheated food from the previous day or give you five types of dishes to choose from, Yguana Cafe  makes sure you get what you pay for and more. For 10 euros you get a cocktail in a glass the size of a small fishbowl rather than a drinking glass and they make sure your Cuba Libre doesn’t contain one part rum and nine parts cola, but rather the other way around.

And then there’s the food! An aperitivo is meant as a ‘small bite’ and drink just before dinner, but at Yguanas the food is so good you’ll eat enough for two days. There’s a long bar full of different dishes and when one finishes they put out a new and different dish so that every round you have something new to choose from. When you come here make sure you wait long enough until they bring out the chocolate brownies, they’re the best!

If you’re planning on going to a club after and you don’t want to spend a fortune on cocktails there, you can fuel up at Yguanas. For 5 euros more you can order your favourite cocktail in the Maxi size: a liter bucket. In short, best aperitivo in town.
